Tonight the Graveyard is alive -
With sounds of passion long forgotten
As the church bell's midnight hymn arrives,
The crisp clean air turns foul and rotten
Eye to eye they meet again -
The ancient lovers' dark embrace
They tenderly inhale this sin,
As she wipes the soil from his face
Tattered clothes are cast aside
Their stagnant hearts begin to pound
On Passion's wings they both shall ride
Before returning to the ground...
The moon above is full and bright;
It's blessing this unholy night
A kiss goodnight, the deed is done
The tryst nears end, the lovers weep
For at the dawning of the sun,
They must at once return to sleep
-Shed no tears for Tragic Ends-
For amidst the maggots and the flies,
True love, my friend -
It never dies!

It never dies!

The realm of the gods, my eternal home

"After about an hour, I was so hungry that I became delusional. I spent the next hour or two having a heated argument about the validity of Pez as the new nation currency with what appeared to be either a lawn chair or Mickey Rooney."
Another thing that just stands out as something I really love is the bit of informality you itnroduce with the "my friend".... this poem introduces a more original and fun note into the whole cliche of neverending love...
